Position Overview
The primary focus of the Online Ad Sales Account Executive is to identify new prospects, develop relationships and generate new business. This requires positioning Searchandise Commerce's value proposition in a virtually untapped corner of the search market directly to manufacturers and their ad agency representatives,
and effectively addressing objections and providing strategic advice on optimizing each campaign.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record in online media sales. You must be
a positive self-motivator who thrives in an energetic, fast-paced environment.
We're looking for creative leaders who use a consultative sales approach while
navigating through large manufacturers and their agencies to
create new business opportunities. This Account Executive must be able to
effectively work with top-decision makers at leading agencies and Fortune 1000 companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate Searchandise Commerce's value proposition clearly and persuasively primarily using the telephone and email.
- Identify opportunities, qualify prospects, and work through the stages of the sales cycle to close new business.
- Meet and exceed quarterly revenue goals.
- Create sales presentations and proposals.
- Coordinate resources from internal departments to ensure client's needs are fulfilled.
- Track and manage sales pipeline and account activities in Salesforce.com.
To Qualify:
- 2+ years online advertising sales.
- Ability to build relationships internally and externally via email and telephone.
- Record of attaining and surpassing sales goals.
- Success selling consumer products, online search, media planning, or agency settings; exposure to online media, analytics or pay-per-click programs a big plus.
- Positive attitude and self-motivation is a must for thriving in a start-up/entrepreneurial environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint; Salesforce.com a plus.
- Ability to positively adapt to change in a fast-paced work environment.
- BA/BS or equivalent.
