Searchandise Commerce is a retail search network for product manufacturers, their agencies and their retail channel partners. The company combines the concepts of in-store merchandising where products vie for premium position, with the ROI and cost-per-click bidding of paid search and applies it to the Web.
Position Overview:
The primary focus of the Regional Sales Manager is to develop relationships and generate new business. This position entails positioning of Searchandise Commerce's value proposition in a virtually untapped corner of the search/branding market to manufacturers and their ad agency representatives, and effectively demonstrating a solution to a problem the advertiser may not know exists.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record in online media sales, deep contacts into Consumer Electronics, Home Appliances and/or Consumer Packaged Goods and their respective agencies. The candidate possesses experience managing a territory, developing and growing new business, accurately forecasting and working independently in a virtual environment. This individual must be able to effectively work with top-decision makers at leading agencies and Fortune 1000 companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate Searchandise Commerce's value proposition clearly and persuasively face to face
- Responsible for all advertising revenue and metrics in the region
- Identify and pursue opportunities to increase sales of current and new offerings
- Identify opportunities, qualify prospects, and work through the stages of the sales cycle to close new business
- Meet and exceed quarterly revenue goals
- Create sales presentations and proposals
- Track and manage sales pipeline and account activities in Salesforce.com
To Qualify:
- 7+ years field sales/territory management
- Strong understanding of online advertising, eCommerce or search industries
- Intelligent, outgoing individual with strong interpersonal skills and work ethic
- Willing to travel consistently to build/grow advertiser relationships
- Excellent business writing, training, communication, organizational and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently
- Prior start-up experience preferable
- Minimum Bachelor's degree
